Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
By using Lingara (the "Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Lingara is a language-learning app offering vocabulary study, AI-generated lesson plans, and spaced repetition flashcards across multiple languages. The Service is provided by Spinning Cat Studios.
3. Accounts
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
4. Subscriptions and payments
Lingara offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe (web/Android) or Apple (iOS). Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled in accordance with the policies of the payment platform used.
5. Free trial
New users may receive a free trial period. At the end of the trial, access to premium features requires a paid subscription.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or interfere with the Service
- Share your account credentials with others
- Abuse the AI features (e.g. generating harmful content)
7. Intellectual property
All content, design, and software in Lingara are owned by Spinning Cat Studios. You may not reproduce or redistribute any part of the Service without permission.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@getlingara.com.
9. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI-generated content may contain errors and should not be relied upon as a sole source of language instruction.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Spinning Cat Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Content licence
By using the Service, you grant Spinning Cat Studios a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use your exercise answers, your messages to the in-app AI chat, and your AI tutor conversations to improve AI models. This licence does not cover the messages you send to our support team. You may revoke this licence at any time by turning off "Help improve Lingara" in Settings → Privacy & AI. Revocation takes effect within 24 hours.
These terms are written in English. Translations are provided for convenience; in case of conflict, the English version prevails.
