Errori e nuovi tentativi

Ogni fallimento sollevato da una libreria è uno di quattro errori, e tutti e quattro condividono un tipo base, quindi un solo gestore può intercettarli tutti.

  • Errore dell’API. L’API ha rifiutato la richiesta. Contiene lo stato HTTP, un code stabile su cui basare la tua logica e un messaggio nella lingua che hai richiesto.
  • Errore OAuth. L’endpoint dei token ha rifiutato le tue credenziali o gli scope che hai richiesto.
  • Errore di manutenzione. L’API è temporaneamente non disponibile per manutenzione.
  • Errore di trasporto. Non è arrivata alcuna risposta utilizzabile: la connessione è fallita o è andata in timeout, oppure non è stato possibile leggere la risposta.

Annullare una chiamata non è un errore. Si manifesta come l’annullamento tipico del tuo linguaggio.

Cosa viene ritentato

Un 429 o 503 che indica quanto attendere, in un header Retry-After di 60 secondi o meno, viene ritentato dopo esattamente quell’attesa. Una chiamata effettua al massimo 3 tentativi. Puoi disattivare i nuovi tentativi impostando il massimo a 1.

Tutto il resto viene sollevato subito:

  • un 429 o 503 senza Retry-After;
  • un’attesa superiore a 60 secondi, che la libreria non trascorrerà all’interno della tua chiamata. L’errore contiene retry_after, così puoi pianificare tu stesso il nuovo tentativo;
  • un errore di trasporto, perché la richiesta potrebbe aver già raggiunto l’API;
  • qualsiasi stream che abbia già consegnato un evento.
